Reborn Arts
our purpose and mission
Purpose
Our purpose is to create Communities in Motion, bringing audiences and dancers together in collective movement to express our shared joy, grief, struggle, and a collective yearning for peace in an increasingly individualistic and fragmented world.
Mission
Our mission is to use dance to speak about our complex and often unspoken shared experiences and our collective need for peace, and to create Communities in Motion through interactive performances and collective movement from concert halls to streets.

our story

Boróka Nagy is an award winning choreographer, dancer, and multimedia artist. After cultivating her art in NYC, she moved to Southern California to obtain her M.F.A. in Dance from the University of California- Irvine in 2015. Her dance training consists of prestigious dance academies such as Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and the Alvin Ailey School’s B.F.A. Program in NYC. Nagy has performed at landmark theaters such as the 92nd Street Y and New York City Center, and continues to perform internationally in site specific and concert stage settings. As a choreographer, Nagy is interested in exploring the relationships of emotions and memory to the world around us. Her choreography has been presented world wide, and Nagy continues to explore the human experience through movement, interactive performance, and collaborative art with her dance company Re:born Dance Interactive.
In 2021, Nagy became the director of The Academy of Dance in Orange County, which ignited her sense of urgency in using dance education to improve the future of the next generation.
With these experiences combined, Boróka saw a need for community, emotional release, and the development of empathy and agency within her surroundings. With a passion for diversity, empowerment, and agency, she realized how important catharsis and shared experiences are in achieving these things.
In 2022, she founded Reborn Arts, a non-profit company whose mission is to use catharsis to bring breath and ownership back to our often passive and overly structured lives.
Reborn Arts is about expanding opportunities to explore the interconnectedness of movement, community, and emotions, and bringing that experience to more people.
