Reborn Arts

Kristy Hwang grew up in Fremont, CA, training at multiple competition studios across Northern California under the direction of Yoko Young of Yoko's Performing Arts Academy and Tawnya Kuzia of NorCal Dance Arts. She earned her BFA in Dance Performance at the University of California, Irvine in 2016 where she received an Excellence in Dance Performance Award from the department and was a member of esteemed modern choreographer Donald McKayle's Etude Ensemble.

Since graduating, Kristy has performed in both commercial and concert settings with artists including Bryn Cohn, Andrew Winghart, Jaci Royal, Old Navy, and Fossil. More recently in 2022, Kristy graduated with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and currently works as an acute care occupational therapist at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. She hopes to one day incorporate the holistic and evidence-based frameworks of occupational therapy within the professional dance community and promote client-centered health, wellness, and prevention for athletes at any season of their careers.
